Spokane YWCA – Legal Advice & Representation in Title IX Matters
The Spokane YWCA provides legal advice and representation for complainants in Title IX matters across Eastern Washington. This representation is exclusively for complainants alleging domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Due to time and funding constraints, the Spokane YWCA may be unable to accept every complainant’s case for representation and may have to prioritize the cases that have the most need or special circumstances. Even if we cannot represent all complainants, we hope to advise many more on how to proceed on their own.

NW Justice Project CLEAR Hotline assists people with a variety of civil legal issues (housing, family safety, consumer protection issues, education, employment, benefits and access to justice issues).
CLEAR (located on the Westside) will screen callers for income eligibility and type of legal problem. If the caller is eligible for services, the call should be forwarded to an attorney or paralegal for an in-depth interview to assess the legal problem. CLEAR may be able to provide advice and immediate assistance if possible. In addition, CLEAR will determine if the caller needs additional legal help and will try to arrange further assistance. Help may be provided telephonically, by email or the case may be referred to the local NJP office or other legal service programs.
CLEAR attorneys will often help a caller by preparing court papers, negotiating on the callers behalf and may advocate in other ways.
