Janice is native Alaskan and did not have therapy available to her. Her stuttering had an affect on all aspects of her life.  She made major lifestyle changes.

Prior to therapy, Travis would frequently not talk. Many times his stuttering blocks would be so long and frustrating that he would give up on what he wanted to say.

Max was largely a covert stutter with a fair amount of fluent speech. He would rate his stuttering problem as severe a most other stutterers as he had to devote so much effort in attempting to hide and avoid stuttering.
