EWU Cheney & Spokane Campus Alerts/Rave Alerts


What is it? EWU Alerts will notify you via text messaging, e-mail and other methods in case of an emergency or safety situation on the Cheney campus.


How do I get it? All current faculty, staff, and students are automatically enrolled with their EWU email address. By logging into your EWU Alert account, you can add additional notification methods, including other email addresses or phone numbers.

If you are not a current faculty, staff, or student, you can still sign up for EWU Alerts by text message. See this article and text EWUALERT to 77295.

The “EWU Alerts” service is provided by Eastern Washington University to EWU faculty, staff, students and other campus community members as a method of communicating timely announcements via cell phone text messaging, e-mail, and other electronic communication channels. There is no cost or subscription fee for users of this service. However, standard text messaging fees and data rates may apply depending on your cell phone service provider. EWU is not responsible for any costs incurred by users whom subscribe to this service. Eastern is committed to using this service for only those announcements which it deems crucial for instant notification to the campus community. Please check with your cell phone service provider regarding possible rates and fees. Review EWU’s privacy policy for additional information regarding the personal contact information you supply when signing up for this service.

WSU Spokane Campus Alerts (Health Sciences Building)

The WSU Spokane campus sends alert via the WSU Spokane Emergency Alerts system. If you expect to spend time on the WSU Spokane campus, you are strongly encouraged to sign-up for the EWU/WSU Spokane campus Emergency Alert system. This system allows WSU Spokane to send timely information about emergencies or safety concerns impacting the WSU Spokane campus, and to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
