Caroline Dias, M.A.
Education: MA – Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis, University of the Pacific; BA – Psychology, California State University/Stanislaus
Caroline Dias is an Interim Director (Tutoring) for the PLUS Program in the EWU Learning Commons of JFK Library. Before arriving at EWU, she served as Assistant Director of Advising & Retention for Brandman University for almost 12 years. As an Assistant Director of Advising and Retention, she mentored and trained new academic advisors in all 26 campuses throughout California and Washington. She was the lead advisor at the Modesto campus and works with “at-risk/probation” students assisting them to get appropriate student services. Caroline served as the advisor liaison to the School of Education.
Also, Caroline has co-authored (with the education faculty at Brandman University, Modesto Campus) a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development (BA ECD) in 2007 and a Master of Arts in Education degree emphasis in Leadership Early Childhood Education (MAE LECE) in 2009.
Caroline has worked in the education field for over 20 years. She has worked in a Family Literacy program, taught elementary school for a private faith-based school, Head Start Teacher, School Readiness Coordinator, Program Manager for Education, Academic Advisor and Adjunct Professor.
In addition, Caroline presented Advising Advisors with an Academic Advising Mentorship Program at the Regional NACADA (National Academic Advisors Association) conference at Berkeley, California, in March of 2014. Also, Caroline served as the Registration Chair for the 2016 NACADA Regional Meeting at USC (March 2016).
