Title: AI Tools for Research and Grant Writing: EWU Policies and Practical Techniques
About: This workshop will cover EWU’s AI policies and the tools available to faculty and staff, including Google Gemini and Microsoft Co-pilot. We will provide a hands-on walkthrough of setup and an overview of techniques for using AI in grant writing and research, focusing on basic prompting and integrating AI into daily workflows. Whether you’re new to AI or looking to improve your skills, this session will give you practical, easy-to-follow steps to get started. We are particularly interested in having one representative from each department/unit to share what you learn in this workshop with your colleagues. Title: Are You My Funding Opportunity? How to Identify Grant “Fit-Ness”
About: It’s all so exciting. You have finally found a funding opportunity, the dollar signs are looking real fine, but now what? This workshop will teach you how to read solicitations in depth, learn what to look for, and doubly determine it is a good fit. Additionally, we will discuss the intentions of requests for proposals (RFPs), how to determine your audience for your proposal, what to do when you have questions of the solicitation, and when to start working on a proposal.
