EWU Student Affairs has won the 2022 RAIN Outstanding Agency Award for creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for LGTBQ+ employees.
The RAIN (Rainbow Alliance and Inclusion Network) award is presented in recognition of an agency’s impact on its employees. EWU is one of just three state agencies to receive this award in 2022.
The award letter, sent to EWU President Shari McMahan, said, “It is evident through nominations, employees are recognizing your agency is taking strides to create that inclusive environment.”
RAIN is the LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group for Washington state employees. It is sponsored by the Washington LGBTQ+ Commission and Washington Office of Financial Management.
