Quantitative and Symbolic Reasoning replaces Math Proficiency in EWU\u2019s new General Education Curriculum. The Student Learning Outcomes for courses that fulfill EWU\u2019s Quantitative and Symbolic Reasoning requirement were developed by an interdisciplinary team of faculty from the Natural and Social Sciences and Humanities. Courses seeking approval as Quantitative and Symbolic Reasoning (QSR) courses must be 100-level and address all <\/em>of the Student Learning Outcomes linked below. Faculty developing new QSR courses or adapting existing courses are strongly encouraged <\/em>to read the \u201cExplanatory Document\u201d linked below, prior to submitting their courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites are course-specific, assuring that a student is prepared for success in that particular QSR course; for example, an ALEKS placement score of 41 or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
