ITGS 110 counts for a Humanities and Arts BACR. ITGS 120 counts for a Natural Science BACR. We will learn techniques for creating our own comics, including methods for telling fantastical stories and realistic autobiographies. Along the way, we will track the evolution of comics from superhero stories to diverse, genre-bending narratives&#8211;hopefully exploding our assumptions about what constitutes &#8220;good&#8221; comics. We will draw on paper every class session, practicing the general concepts of visual communication, although no prior artistic experience is required.
