Greetings!
Mosaic is an informal group created to provide a support network for faculty from diverse cultural/ethnic/racial backgrounds. In the past, we have organized get-togethers at members’ homes where we enjoyed great food and conversations.
Our first get-together for 2017-2018 will be held at the Faculty Commons on Friday, Oct. 20 from 5-7pm. Please see the attached flyer. If you would like to join us, please bring some food or drinks to share if you can, but please come anyway if you can’t (* Sorry, no alcoholic beverages since this is held at the Faculty Commons)
In the past, we recruited faculty to Mosaic mostly through visiting new faculty orientations and word-of-mouth. We would like to be more intentional in reaching out to faculty of diverse cultural/ethnic/racial backgrounds, and we would like to bring together faculty from other local universities as well. We hope that we will be able to get input from faculty to see what activities they would like Mosaic to organize, especially to support our new/newer faculty.
RSVP is appreciated if you would like to join us on Oct. 20. Also, please let Pui-Yan (plam@ewu.edu) know if you would like to be added on the Mosaic email list for future get-togethers and other activities.
