Eastern Washington University\u00a0Gallery\u00a0of\u00a0Art\u00a0is pleased to present a very special artist talk and closing reception of the exhibition\u00a0When\u00a0the\u00a0River\u00a0Becomes a Cloud \/ Cuando el r\u00edo se transforma en nube\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>on\u00a0February 4, 2025 at noon. Please join us as we\u00a0celebrate this exhibition with DeepTime Collective (Amanda Leigh Evans and Tia Kramer) and students from Prescott School.<\/p>\n The artist talk will be held in the Music Recital Hall (Music Building) at 12pm followed by a closing reception in the EWU Gallery of Art (Art Building) at 1pm<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n When\u00a0the\u00a0River\u00a0Becomes a Cloud \/ Cuando el r\u00edo se transforma en nube<\/em><\/strong>, is an exhibition featuring a multi-year, socially engaged public\u00a0artwork created by DeepTime Collective (Amanda Leigh Evans and Tia Kramer) in collaboration with students, staff, and families from Prescott School in Prescott, WA. Founded in 2021, this ongoing site-specific project creates a permanent public\u00a0artwork in\u00a0the\u00a0form\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0river\u00a0that winds throughout\u00a0the\u00a0entire indoor and outdoor rural school campus.\u00a0The\u00a0featured\u00a0artworks\u2013co-authored with students, staff & families\u2013utilize\u00a0artistic research to examine local watershed ecologies, agriculture, and\u00a0the\u00a0migration\u00a0of\u00a0people throughout\u00a0the\u00a0region. DeepTime Collective\u2019s exhibition at Eastern Washington University\u00a0Gallery\u00a0of\u00a0Art\u00a0features process images, performance ephemera, and original\u00a0artworks developed with Prescott students.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This exhibition highlights context-driven, radical reimagining\u00a0of\u00a0public\u00a0art\u00a0in a very rural context.
