This includes:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any waste involving any material from a human, usually bodily fluids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research waste involving any material from non-human primates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research waste involving infectious materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sharps waste<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Used needles, syringes, scalpels, and other things that can cut or poke.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Noninfectious waste<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Biological research waste that carries no infection risk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:2em\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All biological waste generated by teaching, research or clinical activities at EWU must be collected and rendered inactive prior to disposal.
