Eastern Washington University’s Exempt Classification and Compensation Study

Overview

Eastern Washington University’s exempt classification and compensation study will provide the University with an opportunity to review and update its classification and compensation model for all non-contracted exempt staff to include:

Review and update of all non-contracted exempt job descriptions.

Establishment of an exempt employee classification structure to supoort more efficient allocation of positions and opportunities for advancement.

Creation of a compensation philosophy to address salary equity and compensation progression within the exempt salary structure.

The goal of this project is to support and retain exempt staff by creating an updated compensation system that is easy to administer, fair, transparent, and competitive in the job market.
