What is Eagle F.A.M.?

Eagle F.A.M. began as a three-day program bringing students of color who were living on-campus to move-in early and participate in community building activities.

Today, EAGLE F.A.M provides the three-day program before the start of the quarter, 1:1 meetings with participants, and monthly check-in dinners for participants during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters of their first year at Eastern Washington.

Starting Fall 2025, EAGLE F.A.M will move to a 3 quarter program that includes 1:1 meetings with participants, monthly check-in dinners, and incorporating Service Learning Experiences/Volunteering/Community Service with local area community based organizations.

When is it?

Start: Eagle F.A.M. begins a few days before on-campus housing move-in days. Which means Eagle F.A.M. students get to move-in to their campus residence hall early- Monday, September 16, 2024. Over the next 3 days, students will do community building activities, learn about campus resources, and meet with faculty/staff champions.

End: Eagle F.A.M. runs through the full fall, winter, and spring quarters and ends on the last day of fall classes. (Friday, June 6, 2025)

How much does it cost?

Thanks to generous donors, volunteers, and campus partners, Eagle F.A.M. 2024 is FREE OF CHARGE! Eagle F.A.M. is hosted by the Multicultural Center and is supported by many campus partners in order to subsidize the cost of early move-in, meals, swag items, outdoor activities, travel, and all supplies (all together, the cost of attendance per student is approx. $500).
