Summer is approaching, and June encompasses so many great events!  June is National Pride Month.  This month’s calendar includes Spokane Pride, EWU Commencement, Juneteenth, and Hoopfest.  EWU is representing all over this community.  There are a variety of events on and off campus this month to gather, connect and learn.

July 2023 Observances

July marks the National Disability Pride Month in honor of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July of 1990.  In addition, we celebrated our nation’s Independence Day on July 4. 

Campus is bustling with EWU summer session, new student orientations, and a variety of youth camps taking place all summer long.  Please remember to show your Eagle Pride by being extra helpful to our students and visitors on campus. We are spending the next two months collaborating and planning robust DEI offerings for campus.  We will resume our Monthly Calendar of Diversity Events in September.

May is Asian American- Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

May is the national recognition of Asian American – Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
