Viewing the table requires access to Tableau.
Curriculum Complexity
Curriculum Complexity is the total of all of the course importance scores in a given degree program.
Course Importance
Course Importance is the delay factor and the blocking factor added together. This information was gathered using data from Degree Works and Banner prerequisite tables.
DFW Rate
This rate is calculated by dividing the number of attempts with DFW as the final grade by all attempts in academic years 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023. The calculation includes summer terms, accounts for only attempts at EWU, and excludes incomplete grades. It is important to note that if a student attempted a course twice and received a DFW both times, both attempts will be included in the calculation.
Retake Rate
This rate is calculated by dividing the number of unique students who attempted a course at least twice by all unique students who attempted the same course in academic years 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023. Similarly, the calculation includes summer terms, accounts for only attempts at EWU, and excludes incomplete attempts. Additionally, the calculation excludes courses with the status, Course may be Repeated (RP), but includes courses with the following status: Repeat Variable Credit (RV), Repeat with Limitation (RL), Repeat with Credit Limitation (RC), and Repeatable Topics Course (RT).
