CIM\/PIM are used to make changes or additions to course or program catalog information.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ewu-dark-gray-color\">CPAC and UAC\/GAC follow <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/policies\/knowledge-base\/ap-303-35-program-and-course-management\/\">AP Policy 303-35<\/a> regarding new programs and program changes.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-5dc1fbe6\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-f0359743\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-b238b76c\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-b238b76c\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reasons-to-edit\">Reasons to Edit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Edits must be submitted for a program if there will be a change in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Program total credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>List of required\/elective courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degree awarded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Program course grade or GPA requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Program learning outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A program may also be deactivated to remove it from the Catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-button-wrapper gb-button-wrapper-f15d400c\">\n\n<a class=\"gb-button gb-button-7140893e gb-button-text\" href=\"https:\/\/cpac.ewu.edu\/programadmin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Login to PIM<\/a>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-contrast-color\">Before editing a program,\u00a0review the\u00a0information expected for the fields intended to be edited and prepare any additional materials that may be needed.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"editing-a-program\">Editing a Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When editing a program, review the <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/cip-codes\/\">CIP Codes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/learning-outcomes\/\">Learning Outcomes<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/plan-of-study\/\">Plan of Study<\/a> resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the search box to search current programs. Note the instructions for using asterisks(*) to expand your search.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Search*<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Finds everything that&nbsp;<em>starts<\/em>&nbsp;with the search query<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>*Search<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Finds everything that&nbsp;<em>ends<\/em>&nbsp;with the search query<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>*Search*<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Finds everything that&nbsp;<em>contains<\/em>&nbsp;the search query<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After inputting the query, select&nbsp;<strong>Search<\/strong>. Results will appear in the box below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click to select the program to edit. Information about the program will appear below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Edit Program<\/strong>. An&nbsp;<strong>Edit Program&nbsp;<\/strong>form will open in a new window. Review the&nbsp;<strong>Information Bubble<\/strong>&nbsp;located next to the form item for additional information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Double-click the blue outlined Course List to edit the program. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have three options for saving changes:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Save &amp; Submit<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 saves the changes and submits the proposal for review, starting the workflow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save Changes<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 saves the changes without submitting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cancel<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 discards the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Updates to a program\u2019s <strong>Plan of Study<\/strong> must be made when revisions to the curriculum are made. Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/plan-of-study\/\">Plan of Study<\/a> resource for additional information and a template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"after-submission\">After Submission<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Each approver in the workflow is notified that a task in PIM is waiting for their review. <strong>It is the responsibility of the submitter to follow the proposal and ensure that the proposal progresses through the <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/workflow\/\">approval workflow<\/a> in the established timeline.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/workflow\/\">Workflow Process<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/workflow\/\">Accreditation Approval Process<\/a> information for additional submission information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"modifications\">Modifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If modification is needed during the approval process, this can be handled by one of the following methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rollback<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The proposal needs significant changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The person reviewing sends the document back to the initiator for changes and communicates with the initiator to clarify what changes are required. The proposal then moves forward following the full workflow approval process.&nbsp;<strong>It is the responsibility of the submitter to follow the proposal and ensure that the proposal progresses through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/test-inside.ewu.edu\/cpac\/workflow\/\">approval workflow<\/a>&nbsp;in the established timeline.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Edit by Current Reviewer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For minor changes that are agreed upon by submitter\/department and reviewer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These might include a change in attached syllabus or minor edit to course description. However, it is not the reviewer or CPAC\u2019s responsibility to make changes to course or program proposals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"deactivating-programs\">Deactivating Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To remove a program from the Catalog, it can be deactivated. Before deactivating a program, consult with Academic Affairs or Graduate Programs. Having determined it\u2019s appropriate to deactivate the program, submit the program into the workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deactivation Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow steps 1-3 in the instructions above to find the program. After selecting a program, a button to deactivate the program appears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Deactivate Program<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the editing page, select a start term and justification for this deactivation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save &amp; Submit<\/strong>&nbsp;to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"export-to-pdf\">Export to PDF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Export to PDF<\/strong>&nbsp;button downloads a PDF of the program page with a date history of changes made within the CIM system since it was implemented in 2014.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-9f4be1b4\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-9f4be1b4\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-2368840a\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need Help?
