Congratulations! We hope that this website will help make graduation a smooth and stress-free process so that we can successfully celebrate your accomplishments. Follow these 10 Easy Steps to Your EWU Graduation:
Step 1
Apply to Graduate
In general, the deadline to apply to graduate is two quarters or the semester prior to the term that you are graduating. Both the undergraduate student deadlines and the graduate student deadlines can be found online.
Pay Your Graduation Application Fee
When you apply to graduate, your graduation fee is added to your student account. Your fees help pay for costs associated with the processing of your application, the ordering of your diploma, and the commencement ceremony. You can pay your graduation fees online through EagleNET.
Step 2
Step 3
Register for Commencement
EWU celebrates its graduates at a commencement ceremony once a year in the late spring. To accommodate all of the graduates, the University usually offers a total of four ceremonies:
- May Ceremony - Semester-Based Degree Programs Only
- June Ceremony - Morning (Designated Degree Levels & Colleges)
- June Ceremony - Afternoon (Designated Degree Levels & Colleges)
- June Ceremony - Evening (Designated Degree Levels & Colleges)
Please share the ceremony dates with your family and friends so that they can save the date and make travel arrangements as necessary.
Invite Your Friends & Family
Tell your friends and family about your commencement ceremony! You can order graduation announcements here.
Step 4
Step 5
Order Your Cap & Gown
To participate in the commencement ceremony, you are expected to dress in appropriate graduation regalia.
Graduation attire is available for purchase from the Eagle Store beginning in February until early June. Join the Eagle Store at their Grad Fair kick-off events. Grad Fair is an opportunity to order your cap and gown and purchase other graduation-related items. There are usually fun contests, chances to win prizes and special discounts.
