Crosslisting Sections
One section is the controlling section (parent), which controls most of the information about the section and the other is the controlled section (child), which only controls unique information.
What is a Crosslisting
Crosslisted Sections are sections that meet at the same time with the same instructor and in the room. One section is the controlling section, which controls most of the information about the section. The other is the controlled section(s), which only controls information about the section unique to the cross-listed portion, such as cross-listed maximum enrollment.
Types of Crosslisted Sections
A section can only give control of updates to another section; it can never take control. This means that when you add a crosslist to one of your sections, the section added will have control of your section information. You can uncrosslist a section at any time from the controlled section.
Parent Section
The primary listing of a course controls the instructor, meeting pattern, and room.
Child Section
The non-primary listing of a course controls the max capacity and whether it is crosslisted.

- The Crosslist Enrollment reflects the total number of seats in the sections when they are all together
- The Enrollment reflects the numbers for that section of the crosslisted group
