PAWS- Progressive Animal Welfare Society

PAWS is an organization based in Seattle, also known as Progressive Animal Welfare Society. The PAWS Mission Statement is: “PAWS is people helping cats, dogs and wild animals go home and thrive – whether home is the family room or the forest. We do this by rehabilitating orphaned and injured wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating the community to inspire compassionate action for animals.”

WIRES

WIRES is an organization that centers around caring, preserving, and rescuing wildlife. They have been doing this for over 30 years as the largest wildlife rescue organization in Australia. They are involved in more than 90,000 rescues per year.

River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary

River’s Wish Sanctuary is an entirely volunteer-run sanctuary that houses abused, neglected, and forgotten animals. They care for animals such as rabbits, horses, burros, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigs, dogs, and cats. Animals receive lifelong care here, although some become adopted to the right homes.

Panhandle Animal Shelter

Panhandle Animal Shelter helps provide homes for dogs and cats that need them. The shelter relies on donations and fundraising to take care of the animals. The majority of people working at this organizations are volunteers. Panhandle Animal Shelter’s mission statement is, “To create and support meaningful connections by enhancing the lives of dogs, cats and the people in our community who love them.”.
