Eastern Washington University is saddened to report that William (Bill) Clark, PhD, passed away on Nov. 27. Clark began teaching at Eastern Washington University in September 1987 in the Computer Science Department. He taught at EWU for 28 years before retiring on Jan. 1, 2015.
Eastern’s Pui-Yan Lam, professor of Sociology and Justice Studies, was recently awarded the Eva Lassman ‘Take Action Against Hate’ Award. A faculty-led effort to reform the structure of EWU’s curriculum and graduation requirements is entering a new phase.
EWU is sad to report the loss of John Berdis, a longtime EWU staff member who passed away on Nov. 20, 2021. Berdis worked at EWU as the Parking and Transportation Services supervisor from 1998 until when he passed away, at age 63. His obituary can be viewed here.
