Sara Walker, M.A.

Archaeologist

Ms. Walker has over 25 years’ experience in Pacific Northwest archaeology and cultural resources management.  She has worked as an archaeologist on various archaeological survey, testing, and data recovery projects, and has written professional compliance reports and large project reports, as well as presenting papers and posters at professional meetings.  Ms. Walker exceeds the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Professional Archaeologists.  She has served as project director for numerous projects including the Bonneville Power Administration Decatur Island testing and data recovery projects and for the Yakima Training Center Archaeological Evaluative and Feature Testing.  Duties included supervision of up to thirty archaeologists, analysis of cultural materials, and report preparation.  Ms. Walker directed laboratory procedures for the US Army Corps of Engineers Yakima Training Center Expansion testing and data recovery projects.  She took on a similar level of responsibility for the Washington State Department of Transportation’s SR 101 Sequim Bypass cultural resources project, as well as completing analyses of the quartz-crystal microblades from this project.  Most recently Ms. Walker directed excavations at site 45SP266 for the City of Spokane’s CSO Project.
