January–April |Free mock pediatric clinic EWU Occupational Therapy Department and JOYA Child and Family Development
The students are provided experiential learning with pediatric clients as a means to learn the process from referral to evaluation, then intervention and discharge. Fourteen children from the community participate in this experience to support student learning.

TBD |CarFit Occupational Therapy Department
CarFit is a service that is supported by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), AARP, and AAA to review how an individual “fits” within their vehicle. The CarFit technicians look at how the individual fits within the seat, proximity to the steering wheel, ability to view all mirrors, run the various equipment within the vehicle, and effective headlights and turn indicators. It is about safety and safely fitting within one’s vehicle. It is primarily for older individuals, but has been used for individuals who are pregnant or have experienced other bodily changes.
